Are you guys ready for the college party of the year? For IACT

is launching their first street party and announce as the college

party of the year!! IACT street party was rocked by breath

taking urban artist such as One Buck Short, Manhand

and Paolo Delfino on 25 April 2009!! The event Highlight

their important message in HIV/AIDS awareness campaign and

their sneak preview of their new campus at Jaya one!

Other events include art and design exhibition, and games!

Not only that, some of the students with great musical talents

performed for their street party and with the great support from

its student and its student ambassador the party that started

at 10.00 am ended with the student jumping around and head

banging by the great performance by One Buck Short.

TAYLOR'S GOT TALENT Time to Shine was a

unique celebration that brought together all the members

of the Taylors Community with a shared goal of bringing

forth the musical, vocal, dancing  talents of Taylorians.

Looking for the most talented Taylorian in live performance

was the aim of Taylor’s Got Talent 2009. During a round of

auditions held at two Taylor's Campuses more than one

hundred contestants went on stage!!! They performed either

solo or with team in front of a panel of professional juries.

Twenty one finalists were short listed and challenged to

bring their very own show live on stage for the

Grand Final held on Friday, 8^th May 2009 at MPH, TUCMC

500 seats were booked in advance and another 100 were

released at the door. Within one hour all tickets were sold out.

More than 600 students, staff, parents and friends came to

support the finalists and vote for their preferred performer.

The tension went up after the selection of the last five who

managed to wow the judges and audiences with their skills

and performances through the competition. Some of the

finalists were even offered to commit professionally. However,

the competition could only be accomplished with selecting

one champion, and two runners up…..

Valentio Febrio with his singing performance won the

first prize and the heart of many new fans.

The prize was RM 800 cash, 1 night stay at Pullman Putrajaya,

dining vouchers from Sheraton Subang, and also a hamper.

 The first runner up was Andrea Chandra with a hip hop

dance performance. He  won RM 400 cash, 1 night stay at

Regalodge Hotel Ipoh, and also a hamper.

The second runner up was Victor Tan Chee Leong that

mesmerised the audience with illusionist performances.

The prize was RM 200 cash, 1 night stay at Regalodge

Hotel Ipoh, and also a hamper.

Did you know that all profits made from this event will be given to Ti-Ratana orphanage? Well that proves that Taylorians not only have talents but they are also as cool as ice!!

The event ended with a grand lucky draw at 4.30, and the winner gets 3 days 2 nights stay at Putra Jaya Marriott, Including prizes worth up to RM 1000.Even though they are enjoying the event, the Metamorphosis committees do not forget those who are less unfortunate. All proceeds from the event will be generously donated to UNICEF, the international body for children’s welfare. Good job Metamorphosis team!
