Everyone is different and each difference is special in their own ways. With that, INTI College Subang Jaya students definitely had shown their difference at the recent British American Tobacco Malaysia Talent Spotting Competition, “Bring Your Difference”! And boy, did Oliver Kau Mun Seng, Emery Tan Siew Pei, Tiffany Hew Wan Ting and Siow Shy Yee brought their difference, winning the champion, second, third, and consolation prize! These 4 INTIans had to rely on their collective skills, determination, and teamwork in able to win. They were definitely overwhelmed and experience how the working world is like. Congrats guys!

A United Gathering of Nations at INTI
|
| |
Watsup peeps?! It’s Raya this week and it is the time of the year for forgiving and blessing. Like Christmas, Raya is the time for giving as well (in terms of food and green angpau!). Just in time for Raya, Inti University College with United Nations Association of Malaysia, Malaysian schools, colleges, university students, and other 37 representative from other countries gathered together for the Kuala Lumpur International Model United Nations (KLIMUN) 2009 conference.

Delegates at the opening ceremony of KLIMUN 2009
They all came with one mission and one goal in mind – to try and end world poverty! They say third time is the charm as it is INTI’s third time organizing this event. Raising cash was one way to help and through the “A Ringgit a Day” project, participants were to give RM1 for the entire 6 days of the 3rd KLIMUN.

A Big Heart to help TAR College students
|
| |
Text books nowadays are costing more than it should be especially tertiary education text books. RM75,000 was contributed by Madam Tan Siok Choo to help The Tun Tan Siew Sin Book Loan Scheme. This book scheme is to help students pursue higher education without the burden of expensive text books. Madam Tan is the daughter of the late Tun Tan Siew Sin who is the founder of TAR College and the very first president of the college. The book loan scheme was launched on 10th August 2009 during TAR College’s 40th anniversary. There are a total of 503 books of different areas for TAR College students to loan. Madam Tan also presented the books to selected student representatives and advised students to cultivate good reading habits by reading regularly. With the crime rate rising, it is hard to imagine that there is still a kind soul out there. Madam Tan is one person that is not only a kind soul, she is also a good daughter, continuing her father’s legacy of helping people.

Music Maestro @ UCSI University
|
| |
Amongst many things that UCSI is known for is their fantastic events that are hard to miss! The Pro Musica was held at their Blue Ocean Strategy Hall on the 24th of August, and man, was it a astounding musical experience! Even honored guest and cultural advisor Datuk Seri Lim Chong Keat said it was the best amongst the 3 concerts held in Malaysia. Imagine talented performers from Malaysia, Belgium, Italy, Thailand, UK and many others combined under the direction of Mr. Ronny Lauwers (a singing coach) and Ms. Loh Siew Tuan (international vocal teacher) to give the crowd an amazing show. The entire production was accompanied with the world renowned Steinway piano, and it was indeed a fantastic night for all!
